Lavu POS Integration for QuickBooks and More

Autymate brings each Lavu location's closed day into QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct or NetSuite, with tax, tips and gift cards where your accountant chooses.

Does Lavu Integrate With QuickBooks?

Yes, you can integrate Lavu with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, Sage Intacct or NetSuite using Autymate. Autymate builds the connection around your Lavu account, reading each day through API credentials issued for the account or the End of Day and GL reports your team already exports, and posts each location's sales, tax, tips and gift cards to the accounts your accountant chooses, in one company file or one per location.

Connects to

As of October 2026, Lavu lists QuickBooks and Xero among its accounting integrations (Xero "with integrator") and names a third-party accounting partner. Lavu's own reports include a GL report: each line gets an account number and a debit or credit, then exports to CSV.

A Lavu End of Day is two reports in one: what guests paid, and what was sold, taxed and discounted. The gaps between them (payments on earlier orders, gift cards sold but not yet spent, tips edited before the batch settles) are what a bookkeeper rebuilds by hand. Autymate puts every location's day together, so nobody re-keys a CSV.

What Lavu Data Moves, and Where It Lands

Lavu's End of Day report splits a day into Actual Take In, what guests paid and how, and Expected Take In, what was sold, taxed and discounted. Its GL report adds a line for each Super Group. Each piece has a home in the books, and three of them belong to someone else.

One Lavu day splits into 4 groups: What the location sold, Held for someone else, Owed until it is spent, How the money arrived.

One Location's Saturday, Posted Properly

Here is one Saturday at a Lavu location with a full bar. Net sales after discounts were $6,155.00. With tax, card tips and $200.00 of gift cards sold, guests paid $7,715.40, of which $120.00 was paid with gift cards bought earlier, so the card batch and cash came to $7,595.40.

Booked as sales, a gift card counts as revenue before anyone eats the meal, and the $492.40 of tax no longer reads as 8% of sales, so sales on the return and sales in the books stop agreeing. How each location counts gift cards is a Lavu setting; the multi-location section below covers putting a group on one basis.

Want this Saturday built from one of your own closed Lavu days? Talk it through with us.

Sample figures for one location's Saturday. The Super Groups are examples; yours come from your Lavu setup. One 8% rate is applied to net sales; your state's rates, including any separate rate on drinks from the bar, come from each location's tax settings. Gift cards are untaxed when sold in this example. The card batch is assumed to close after the last Saturday check, and card fees are left off because we found no Lavu documentation of whether they come out of each deposit or are billed monthly.

Where Lavu Data Can Go

Lavu integrations for the books read each location's End of Day the same way wherever it posts, and two locations in one group can post to two different systems.

How Lavu Connects

Every Lavu report exports to CSV, and some accounts have API credentials issued for them. The connection starts from whichever of those suits your locations. The careful part is money that is not yet sales: gift cards, tips still being adjusted, and a card batch that closes on its own clock.

For your IT or accounting team: the technical detail

Account numbers from Lavu
The account numbers set in Lavu's GL Settings are checked against your chart of accounts once, so nothing posts to an account you no longer use.
Lavu's Deposits line
It is mapped by what it holds, never assumed to be the card payout: Lavu's reconciliation terms use deposits for amounts collected now and redeemed later.
Voided orders
An order voided in full is left out of the End of Day report and shown in Lavu's Voided Sales report, so the two are read together.
Tips before settlement
Lavu lets managers edit card tips until the batch settles, so the day is read after its batch closes.

Lavu's Own Accounting Routes, or Autymate?

Lavu and its partners document more than one way to reach the books, and for one location on one company file a simpler route can be the right choice. Here is what each documents, and when a group needs more.

Best fit
  1. Lavu's GL export

One location whose accountant imports a CSV

  2. Restaurant365

Groups that make Restaurant365 their accounting system

  3. Autymate managed integration

Groups keeping QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct or NetSuite, with every Lavu location posted

What Lavu and its partners document

  • A GL report in Lavu, with an account number and a debit or credit per line, exported to CSV
  • A third-party accounting partner, listed on Lavu's integrations page
  • Restaurant365 listed by Lavu under accounting integrations, as an accounting system of its own
  • CSV export of every Lavu report, End of Day included

When a group needs more

  • You want every location's End of Day in the books without anyone exporting and importing a GL file
  • Locations count gift cards on different bases and the books need one
  • You want someone watching every run, and a location that sent nothing flagged
  • Locations held in separate companies need one mapping, not one GL setup each
Choosing an approach for Lavu, from Lavu's website and help centre, checked October 30, 2026. Confirm current features with each vendor.

If one location posts to one company and the account numbers in Lavu's GL Settings already match your chart, importing the GL export is the simpler setup; keep it. Restaurant365 takes the place of QuickBooks as the accounting system rather than feeding it.

Running Lavu Across Several Locations

A single Lavu location can live with its own GL Settings. A group cannot: every location keeps its own gift card setting, tax rates and Super Groups in Lavu, and the books need them on one standard.

  • One Mapping, Approved Once.

Your accountant signs off one mapping, starting from the Super Groups and GL account numbers your locations already use. A new location starts on it, and a location whose menu differs keeps approved adjustments of its own.
  • Each Location in Its Own Company, or Its Own Class.

A location with its own company posts to its own QuickBooks company file; locations under one company post into it as a location or class.
  • One Gift Card Basis for the Whole Group.

Lavu sets gift card revenue per location, When Sold or When Redeemed (Advanced Location Settings, Reports, as of October 2026). The mapping puts every location on the one basis your accountant chose, so the group's gift card liability means the same thing at every site.
  • Each Location's Own End of Day.

Lavu's Cross-Country Reporting rolls up its V2 reports across locations but leaves out End of Day (Lavu help, October 2026), so Autymate works from each location's own End of Day.
  • Spot the Location That Sent Nothing.

A location with no End of Day raises no alarm in Lavu. Autymate compares each location's trading days with what arrived, flags the missing day, and posts it once the data comes in.

How Setup Works

Most of the work is deciding where Lavu's Super Groups, tips and gift cards belong. After that, each location's day posts on its own.

  1. Connect

Together we confirm whether your account has API credentials or will use the End of Day and GL exports, then connect your accounting system.

  2. Map

Your bookkeeper and our team place every Super Group, discount, cash discount, tax, tip, gift card, refund and the card batch, and pick the group's gift card basis.

  3. Validate

One real closed day from one location is posted and checked in your books against Lavu's End of Day report, down to the card batch and the cash count.

  4. Automate

Each location's day is set up to post on your schedule once its card batch has settled and its orders are closed.

  5. Monitor

Autymate's team watches every run. A location that sent nothing is flagged; a day with open orders, a record your accounting system refuses or credentials that stop working are held for your team with the reason and what to check, and support is on hand.

Decide this before anything is built

Journal entry or sales receipt, a summary per location or per Super Group, and the group's gift card basis. These shape every entry, so changing one later means re-posting past days.

What we need from you

  • Admin access to the Lavu Control Panel for each location
  • Access to QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct or NetSuite
  • Your tip policy and each location's gift card setting
  • Someone to review the first week's postings

What a Lavu Integration Looks Like in Autymate

Every location's closed day becomes one run. You see what posted and what waits.

Autymate turns each location's closed Lavu day into one run. Your team sees every location in one list: what posted, what is held and why, and any location that sent nothing, which is flagged and posts once its data arrives. Held items wait for your decision while the rest of the day posts. Every run keeps its mapping version and a log of each step, and Autymate's team monitors the runs.

Proof From a Network on One Chart of Accounts

The test of a multi-location integration is whether every site lands on the same lines, however each site is set up. Autymate does that today for a 900-location franchise network on another system.

Lavu Integration FAQs

Yes, you can integrate Lavu with QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop using Autymate. Each location's closed day posts with sales by Super Group, discounts against them, tax and card tips as liabilities, and gift cards on the basis your accountant picks. Autymate builds and runs it from your Lavu End of Day and GL reports, or API credentials issued for your account, and Xero, Sage Intacct and NetSuite work the same way.
