Does NCR Aloha Integrate With QuickBooks?
Yes, you can integrate NCR Aloha with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, Sage Intacct and NetSuite using Autymate. Aloha, sold by NCR Voyix, has no native journal export we could find in its public documents (checked November 2026). Autymate builds the connection around how each store's Aloha provides its closed day, then posts sales, comps, tax, tips, gift cards and tenders on separate lines.
Connects to
- QuickBooks Online
- QuickBooks Desktop
- Xero
- Sage Intacct
- NetSuite
- and 300+ more systems
NCR's help documents a third-party accounting connector under Aloha Cloud: NCR enables APIs for each store and the connector posts to QuickBooks nightly. For Table Service, NCR's Report Guide says the Weekly or Summary Sales report "is used in accounting" and offers an Export button for CSV, which leaves someone turning that file into an entry. Restaurant365 and MarginEdge install software on a local computer to read the store's closed day.
On Table Service, three numbers need a decision before a day posts: Net Sales, because a store setting changes it; Charge Tips, because of where they're paid from; and Deposit O/S, because NCR's guide reads both ways on its sign. The rest of this page takes each one.
Aloha Sales Report Lines and Where Each One Belongs
NCR's Table Service guide warns against balancing from front-of-house reports, which can hold outstanding checks, and sends managers to the back-office Sales Report after End-of-Day. That report is a set of sections each store chooses. These are the ones a closing bookkeeper needs, and what a wrong placement does.

| On the Sales Report | Where it belongs | What it costs you when it is wrong |
|---|---|---|
| What the store earned | ||
| Sales by Category | An income account for each category, before comps and promos | Posted as printed, a store that adds comps back reads higher than one that doesn't, on the same sales |
| Comps | A discount account for each comp you want to read, such as Mgr Comp or Emp Meal | Inside sales, a manager's comp and a staff meal disappear, and food cost looks worse than it is |
| Promos | A discount account of their own | Mixed with comps, you can't tell what marketing spent from what the floor gave away |
| Surcharges Total and Surcharges Collected | Income for what guests pay, and an expense for what the store absorbs | NCR deducts a surcharge the store absorbs from Net Sales, so booked as income it counts the wrong way |
| Owed to government and staff | ||
| Tax by Tax ID | A payable account for each tax, exclusive and inclusive apart | One combined figure hides what each return needs |
| Charge Tips and AutoGratuity (Tips by Payment Type) | Tips payable for Charge Tips; AutoGratuity as your accountant treats it, tips payable or income and wages | Inside sales, Charge Tips read as revenue; AutoGratuity on the wrong side misstates sales and wages |
| Credit Card Tip Reduction (Tip Refund) | The account your accountant chooses | Left out, tips payable stays high by what staff were charged toward card fees |
| Wage Gratuities | Where your accountant treats wages, kept apart from AutoGratuity | NCR counts them in a tender's Sales figure and in Deposit (calculated), not in AutoGratuity, so staff money can read as sales |
| Owed to you, or by you | ||
| Gift Certs Sold and Cash Cards Sold | Gift card liability, raised on sale and reduced on redemption | Booked as sales, income lands months before the meal, and it lands twice if the card is rung as a category too |
| How the money arrived | ||
| Non-Cash Payments | Card clearing for each tender, a receivable for each house account | Sent straight to the bank, the card total runs ahead of the money |
| Petty cash | The expense account for each reason, noting whether it affects the deposit | Left out, money that left the drawer reads as a shortage |
| Deposit (calculated), Deposit: Drop and Deposit O/S | Undeposited cash, and cash over and short | A store that often runs short disappears inside sales |
One Aloha Saturday, Sales Report to Deposit
Marlow Street's Saturday Sales Report reads: two categories less $116.00 of Comps and $64.00 of Promos, Net Sls of $6,700.00, Taxes of $536.00 and Charge Tips of $1,040.00. The manager drops $505.00 in cash, and cards carry the rest. NCR's Report Guide adds the same lines a different way to reach what the drawer should hold.

| Deposit: Drop | What the manager entered | $505.00 |
$6.00 shortPrints ($6.00) or 6.00 | ||
NCR's guide reads both ways on that last line. Its sentence defines Over/Short as calculated cash minus deposits, with negatives in brackets. Its two samples compute the reverse: $365.01 calculated and $500.00 dropped prints 134.99, and $15.00 calculated and $14.00 dropped prints (1.00). Cash below the calculated figure is short whichever way it prints, so the risk sits in any rule or import that reads the printed sign: Marlow Street's $6.00 read the wrong way moves the entry by $12.00. The safe test is one closed day with a drop you know, and Autymate's Validate step uses exactly that.
Tips matter more than the sign. The calculation subtracts card tenders with their tips and adds no tips back, so as we read it, a store paying Charge Tips from the drawer lands near its Deposit (calculated). Marlow Street paying $1,040.00 through payroll would hold that much more cash than the report expects. Autymate can be set up to post tips and tenders apart, so the over or short is worked from the day's cash, and Deposit O/S becomes a check on it. Have a Sales Report to hand? See how your Aloha days would post.
Sample figures. Both Financials settings are cleared, so Net Sls prints $6,700.00 and Grs Sls $7,416.00; the first rows above add comps and promos back. Rows above the deposit read as credits, with minus for debits. NCR's Deposit means cash alone, so its Deposit: Drop reads $505.00 and not the deposit total above. We read closed sales as before comps and promos, since NCR's formula subtracts both, and non-cash tenders at their Amount, tips included, which NCR's formula doesn't state, and every tender here affects the deposit. Gift Certs Sold sits outside the categories. Tax is taken on the check after comps; your accountant confirms that. Surcharges, order mode charges, additional charges, tip refunds, cash cards, petty cash, delivery fees, wage gratuities and voids are $0.00. From the Table Service Report Guide (July 2024); confirm against your report at Map. Card fees are left out because they arrive on each processor's terms.
Which Aloha You Run Decides the Route
NCR Voyix sells Aloha in more than one form, and they don't hand over a day the same way. Here is how to tell yours apart and what's documented for each, dated, with what it asks of the store.
| What you run | How to tell | Routes documented | What the store needs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aloha POS (Table Service or Quick Service) | Windows terminals, with an in-store file server and reports run in Aloha Manager in the back office | Back-office report exports (Table Service guide, 2024). Restaurant365's application on a local Aloha computer, polling the prior day (August 2026) | A device left powered and online for an application; a person, for an export |
| Aloha Essentials | Named Essentials on your contract, or ask NCR Voyix; MarginEdge's help installs on its POS backend computer | MarginEdge's software, sending the last day each morning (April 2026) | NCR support putting LANDesk into learning mode first, per MarginEdge |
| Aloha Cloud | Android devices, with a Central Back Office for one site or many | APIs NCR enables for each store for an accounting connector, as its Aloha Cloud help describes. Export Tickets for transactions, kept for a rolling 13 months | A call to NCR customer care, and a client secret |
| Aloha Next | Announced on NCR's Voyix Commerce Platform (October 2026) | No accounting route documented that we found | A question for your NCR Voyix account manager |
The pages we read for these routes name QuickBooks, so ask each vendor about Xero, Sage Intacct or NetSuite. A store on Aloha POS and a store on Aloha Cloud can sit in one group, so the route is settled store by store, and the mapping stays one.
Where NCR Aloha Data Can Go
Where your books live doesn't change what Aloha provides. One approved mapping covers every category and comp, and each store's day lands in the accounting system its owner already keeps.
- QuickBooks Online
- An Aloha day as one journal entry, with categories on your income accounts and each store as a location or class. QuickBooks Online integrations
- QuickBooks Desktop
- For Aloha stores whose company files stayed on Desktop, with each Comp and Promo kept apart from sales the way the Online file reads. QuickBooks Desktop integrations
- Xero
- Stores as a Location tracking option, so Sales by Category and Deposit O/S read store by store in Xero's reports. Accounting integrations
- Sage Intacct
- A store as a location inside the entity that owns it, with Tax by Tax ID on separate payable accounts. ERP integrations
- NetSuite
- Stores under the subsidiary that owns them, with each tender in Non-Cash Payments held in clearing until it funds. ERP integrations
How NCR Aloha Connects
How a day reaches Autymate depends on which Aloha a store runs and on what NCR Voyix or your dealer can enable. These are the three routes we start from, and which one suits a store is agreed with you at Connect.

local appRestaurant365 and MarginEdge each install software on the store's own Aloha machine to read a closed day. A similar route can be set up where your store allows it, and it needs that machine left on.
APIs NCR enables per store
cloud APINCR's Aloha Cloud help has customer care enable APIs for each store and generate a client secret for a third-party accounting connector. Whether the same access is open to your account is settled with NCR Voyix first.
A Sales Report export
CSV exportThe back office exports a report to CSV, TXT or RTF, by default into a folder called RptExport (Report Guide, July 2024). A manager runs it each day unless your site can schedule it, which is settled at Connect.
For your IT or accounting team: the technical detail
- End-of-Day
- On Table Service, back-office reports compile at End-of-Day, per the guide, and the grind process runs then or when reports are viewed. Reading after it is what keeps open checks out of a posted day.
- Aloha Cloud's business date
- The system attempts to end the date at 3 a.m. local time, retries while orders or shifts stay open, and at 8 a.m. restricts that date until a manager closes them. A previous date can be closed for seven days, then it's archived.
- Saved cards
- On Aloha Cloud a check closed to a saved card can put the sale on one day and its settlement on another, so read card clearing by batch, not by date.
- Integrity check
- A store setting, Run data integrity check at EOD, compares the grind files with a balance file and writes DataIntegrityException.txt to the dated folder when they differ. It's worth knowing if yours is on.
- Dated folders
- A setting limits how many days of dated subdirectories stay on the drive, and End-of-Day removes older ones. Tell us the number if you need older days posted.
- Deposit entry
- A deposit can be keyed in the back office or generated from declared tenders by a store setting, so who enters Deposit: Drop is recorded at Map.
- After End-of-Day
- A batch file can be named to run after End-of-Day, which is one way a site can hand a day over without a person.
NCR's Documented Connector, Restaurant365 or Autymate for Aloha?
NCR's own help documents a third-party accounting connector for Aloha Cloud, and Restaurant365 reads Aloha into its own accounting. Exporting by hand is a fair choice for one store with a willing bookkeeper. The table sets out what each route documents and where Autymate differs.

Talk to us about yoursRunning NCR Aloha Across Several Stores
On Table Service, Store Settings decide what a report calls Net Sales, and each store has its own. A network that reads stores side by side has to see past that, whatever else differs on site.
The Same Saturday, $180.00 Apart.
Marlow Street leaves Include comps in net sales and Include promo discounts in net sales cleared, and prints $6,700.00. A store with both selected prints $6,880.00 on the same checks. Posting category sales before comps and promos, on one approved mapping, makes both read alike. If an agreement or a bonus reads off Net Sales, check which setting it assumes.Stores in Separate Companies.
Each store lands in its own QuickBooks company, or its own location or class in one company, on one mapping template. A store that named a comp differently gets an approved location-level adjustment.A Store Still on Yesterday's Date.
NCR's manager guide says a date mismatch means End-of-Day did not run the night before, and sends you to support. A store that sent no day is flagged, and that day posts once its data arrives.Concepts and Revenue Centers.
The guide reports sales by revenue center and by concept. Whichever your group reads, it's agreed at Map as a class, a location or a separate entry, so a shared kitchen isn't split two ways.

How NCR Aloha Setup Works
Most of the work is settling which report line ties to what and which account it belongs on. Once a route is agreed, each store's day posts on the schedule you choose.
Connect
We record which Aloha each store runs and what it can provide, agree the route with you and with NCR Voyix or your dealer where needed, and connect your accounting system.
Map
Your bookkeeper and our team give each category, comp, promo, tax and tender its account, and record each store's Financials settings and how its Charge Tips are paid.
Validate
One closed day from one store is posted and tied to that day's report, using a Deposit: Drop you know, so it's clear which way your Deposit O/S reads.
Automate
Each store's day posts on the schedule you choose, as a summary entry, once its data has arrived.
Monitor
Autymate's team watches each run. A new comp with no account is held for your decision with the reason and what to check, a day that has already posted is caught by the duplicate check, and support is on hand.
Decide this before anything is built
Category sales before comps and promos, or Net Sales as each store prints it; how Charge Tips are paid at each store; where tax sits when a comp applies; and one entry per store or per revenue center. These four choices shape every posted day, so settle them with your accountant first.
What we need from you
- Which Aloha each store runs, and its version
- One closed day's report from each kind of store (the Sales Report on Table Service)
- Each store's Financials settings, where it has them
- Your NCR Voyix contact or dealer, if a setting needs changing
- Access to QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct or NetSuite
What an NCR Aloha Integration Looks Like in Autymate
Every restaurant's closed day becomes one run. You see what posted and what waits.
Autymate turns each restaurant's closed NCR Aloha day into one run. Your team sees every restaurant in one list: what posted, what is held and why, and any restaurant that sent nothing, which is flagged and posts once its data arrives. Held items wait for your decision while the rest of the day posts. Every run keeps its mapping version and a log of each step, and Autymate's team monitors the runs.

NCR Aloha POS Integration FAQs
Yes, you can integrate NCR Aloha with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop using Autymate. We found no native journal export in NCR Voyix's public documents, checked November 2026. Autymate builds the connection around how each store's Aloha provides its closed day, then posts categories, comps, tax, tips, gift cards and tenders on their own lines. Xero, Sage Intacct and NetSuite work the same way.
The Sales Report. NCR's Table Service guide says that in most operations the Weekly or Summary Sales report "is used in accounting", and that front-of-house reports can be incomplete because checks may still be outstanding. So read a day from the back office after End-of-Day. The sections a store includes are its own choice, so confirm yours carries Sales by Category and Deposit before relying on it.
Deposit O/S compares what was entered as a deposit with Deposit (calculated), the cash NCR expects: closed sales plus taxes and gift certificates sold, less non-cash tenders, comps and promos, among other lines. It only prints for a single date; a range shows the calculated line alone. NCR's guide reads both ways on its sign, so test one day with a known drop.
It depends on the store. With both settings cleared on Table Service, Net Sls excludes what comps and promos took off, and two Financials settings add them back: NCR's example is a $32.00 check with a 50% comp, reading $16.00 or $32.00. Tax is in the Sales by Category gross column, which is net sales plus comps, promos and taxes. Voids follow another setting, and the guide's wording on it is worth testing.
Then the drawer pays out money the card processor returns later, and tips payable should rise and clear on the same day. NCR's Tips by Payment Type section prints Charge Tips and AutoGratuity apart from sales. If a store pays through payroll instead, its cash reads well above Deposit (calculated). Tell us at Map how each store does it, since one mapping can't assume both.
NCR's Aloha Cloud help describes a third-party connector, a separate subscription billed by its maker, that posts department sales, tax, cards, discounts, gift cards, paid outs and over/short to QuickBooks nightly. NCR enables the APIs for each store. It's a sensible fit for a group on QuickBooks that wants a daily entry and will watch each run itself. Compare it with Autymate if stores sit in other systems or separate companies, or you want a team on every run.
NCR Voyix runs a developer portal, and its Aloha Cloud help has customer care enable APIs for each store for an accounting connector. We couldn't read current terms for partners or fees from its public pages, and accounts from integrators differ, so treat any figure you see as unconfirmed. Ask your NCR Voyix account manager what applies to your stores and who holds that access. Autymate works it out with you at Connect.
Autymate can be set up to hold a changed day for your decision, and its duplicate check stops the same day from posting twice. Corrections do happen: Restaurant365's Aloha guide has a corrected day repolled. Each posted entry carries a reference back to its Aloha day, so a controller can trace what moved.
NCR Voyix. Its Report Guide lists Aloha as its registered trademark, and NCR Corporation took the NCR Voyix name when it separated NCR Atleos in October 2023. NCR bought Radiant Systems in 2011, and by Wikipedia's account Radiant had bought Aloha Technologies in 2004. In October 2026 NCR Voyix announced Aloha Next on its Voyix Commerce Platform, so it's still investing in the name.
Your books stay where they are. A store that moves reads from a new source, so its route changes and its lines are mapped again to the same accounts. Stores still on the old system can post beside the ones that moved, on one chart of accounts. Agree the cut-over date with your accountant first, so one day doesn't reach the books from both systems.
Both come out of scoping, and what moves them is how many stores you run, which Aloha each one runs, how many companies own them and where the books live. Weigh that against the manual close: someone exporting and keying a Sales Report for every store, every day, then finding at month end what didn't agree. One closed day and each store's settings are enough to start.
The day's figures do, because they have to reach your accounting system. Autymate has a SOC 2 Type II report, access to each store is set up with you on the route agreed at Connect, and every run is logged. Your team can see what posted and what's held, with a reason and what to check on anything waiting for a decision.
