The Short Answer
The best Boomi alternative depends on what you are actually replacing. If you need another broad enterprise automation platform, compare Workato. If API architecture is the priority, evaluate MuleSoft. If NetSuite is central, look at Celigo. If application and data pipelines must coexist, SnapLogic belongs on the list. If your environment is Microsoft-heavy, Power Automate may fit. If engineering wants self-hosting, evaluate n8n. If EDI is the main reason you use Boomi, compare Cleo and TrueCommerce, and on Azure, Azure Logic Apps.
Autymate is different from most of those choices: it is for organizations that want a partner to design, build, validate, monitor, and maintain defined business-critical integrations rather than operating another iPaaS internally.

Why Teams Compare Boomi Alternatives
Boomi is broad. Teams compare alternatives when ownership, scope, price, or architecture no longer fit.
Less platform ownership
Your team may prefer an accountable delivery partner over maintaining integration assets, runtime decisions, monitoring, and change response internally.
A narrower requirement
If the need is mainly SaaS automation, NetSuite, Microsoft workflows, API architecture, or data pipelines, a more specialized platform may fit better.
A different pricing model
Boomi currently offers Pay-As-You-Go starting at $99/month plus usage and other editions. Another model may align better with users, flows, endpoints, executions, or a scoped service.
A different architecture
API-led design, self-hosting, data pipelines, or a Microsoft-centered stack can change which platform makes the most sense.
Finance-sensitive controls
Accounting integrations may need mapping, validation, duplicate prevention, entity routing, reconciliation, and clear exception ownership.
A targeted migration
You may not need to replace every Boomi capability. Moving only the workflows that create cost, complexity, or operational burden can reduce risk.

“I use third-party people to get me set up and build-out, and that's what I continue to do.”
CTO, healthcare company, PeerSpot, Nov 2021 “our teams really struggled with it and ended up paying consultants to set up integrations.”
A user whose org ran Boomi and Celigo, r/Netsuite, May 2024
Quotes come from review platforms (Gartner Peer Insights, PeerSpot, TrustRadius) and Reddit, and each theme recurs across independent posts. Quotes are verbatim, linked, and dated, and were re-read at the source on October 7, 2026; labels describe the poster rather than naming them. How to Choose a Boomi Alternative
List the Boomi capabilities you actually use. These questions usually narrow the shortlist quickly.
- Are you replacing application integration only, or also API management, B2B/EDI, Flow, master data, or data integration?
- Do you need cloud-only, hybrid, on-premise, edge, or self-hosted deployment?
- Which Boomi processes create financial records that must reconcile?
- Do processes route records differently by company, store, region, department, or subsidiary?
- Who owns Atom health, retries, credentials, trading-partner changes, and rejected documents after launch?
- Would your team rather keep administering Boomi or have an integration partner own delivery?
- Which pricing model matches growth: messages, usage, users, executions, endpoints, flows, or scoped service?
- Which integrations must run in parallel during migration so outputs can be validated before cutover?
- Which of your connections are Enterprise or Trading Partner class under your Boomi contract?
- Would a Boomi services partner running your current processes solve the problem without a migration?
Best Boomi Alternatives and Competitors
Autymate
Built for you- Best for
- Managed custom / finance-sensitive integrations
- Pricing
- Scoped pricing
Autymate fits when the problem is who owns the integration estate, not Boomi's breadth. Boomi gives your team processes, Atoms, and EDI tooling to run; Autymate designs, builds, validates, monitors, and supports the specific business-critical integrations across accounting, ERP, POS, CRM, APIs, databases, SFTP, and files.
It is not a replacement for Boomi's B2B/EDI management, API management, or master data. Where those matter, keep Boomi for them and hand the finance-sensitive flows, such as POS sales into each location's QuickBooks company, to a team accountable for them.
Why teams choose Autymate
- Managed delivery instead of platform administration
- Accounting-ready mapping, validation, deduplication, and reconciliation logic
- Multi-company and multi-location routing
- Custom APIs, databases, SFTP, files, QuickBooks, ERP, POS, and CRM workflows
- Ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and exception support
Consider another option when
- You need native B2B/EDI trading-partner management or API management under one contract
- Your integration team already runs Boomi Atoms and wants to keep building processes itself
- You need master data management across the estate
Workato
Vendor help for hire- Best for
- Enterprise automation + orchestration
- Pricing
- From $75/mo (Pro)*
- Reported
- Median $64,544/yr (Vendr, Sept 2026)
Workato is a close enterprise alternative when the priority is broad SaaS automation, integration orchestration, governance, APIs, and a low-code recipe model that business and IT teams can share.
It is most relevant for organizations that want a centralized enterprise automation platform but prefer Workato's recipe-oriented operating model and credit-based commercial structure, where usage across workflows and agents is counted in Workato credits.
Strengths
- Enterprise integration and orchestration
- Broad connector ecosystem
- Recipe model for IT and business builders
- Governance, APIs, and agentic automation capabilities
Considerations
- Usage is metered in Workato credits; editions above Pro are sales-led
- Internal teams still own solution design and governance
- May be more platform than smaller integration programs need
MuleSoft
Vendor help for hire- Best for
- API-led enterprise architecture
- Pricing
- From $2,000/mo billed annually*
MuleSoft is the closest like-for-like enterprise alternative to Boomi when APIs are the strategy: Anypoint brings API design, policy, and lifecycle management, with hybrid and multi-cloud runtimes.
Its pricing is now published: packages start at $2,000 a month billed annually in Mule Credits, and Pre-Commit plans carry a $50,000 minimum annual commitment.
Strengths
- API-led architecture and governance
- Large-enterprise integration capabilities
- Hybrid and multi-cloud deployment options
- Strong fit for engineering-led integration programs
Considerations
- Typically requires specialist API and integration engineers
- Runtime upgrades land on your team (Mule 4.4 extended support ended October 2025)
- Heavy for straightforward application automation
Celigo
Vendor help for hire- Best for
- NetSuite and repeatable app flows
- Pricing
- Endpoints + flows*
- Reported
- Median $14,787/yr (Vendr, Sept 2026)
Celigo is the narrower, NetSuite-first alternative to Boomi. If the estate is mainly NetSuite, ecommerce, and finance flows rather than EDI and legacy on-premise systems, its Integration Apps and endpoint-and-flow editions can be simpler to buy and run.
Its trust center lists SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 reports, which finance teams often ask for, and its Advisory service is sold as monthly resource allocation on a pro-rata basis.
Strengths
- Strong NetSuite and ecommerce integration focus
- Endpoint- and flow-based pricing model
- Application integration plus API management capabilities
- Repeatable integration patterns for common business applications
Considerations
- Confirm EDI and on-premise coverage before moving Boomi processes
- Check connector depth for non-NetSuite systems
- Advisory is a paid add-on
Jitterbit
Vendor help for hire- Best for
- Mid-market iPaaS + API + EDI
- Pricing
- Quote-based
- Reported
- Median $30,620/yr (Vendr, Sept 2026)
Jitterbit is a practical alternative for teams that still need enterprise integration breadth but want to compare another low-code platform for application integration, APIs, EDI, and hybrid connectivity.
It is particularly relevant when the evaluation is about replacing Boomi's bundled integration capabilities rather than moving down to lightweight workflow automation.
Strengths
- iPaaS plus API management and EDI capabilities
- Cloud and hybrid integration use cases
- Low-code integration design
- Strong fit for mid-market integration programs
Considerations
- Commercial details are generally sales-led
- Platform breadth still requires architecture and governance ownership
- Migration scope depends on how much Boomi-specific logic you use
Cleo Integration Cloud
Vendor help for hire- Best for
- EDI-heavy supply chain integration
- Pricing
- Quote-based
- Reported
- Median $138,600/yr (Vendr, Oct 2026)
Cleo is the alternative to weigh when EDI is the main reason you bought Boomi. It is built around trading partner onboarding, EDI and API transactions, and exception visibility, and buyers choose a self-service, managed service, or hybrid model.
Its QuickBooks EDI integration lists QuickBooks Online, Desktop, Enterprise, Pro, and Premier. An inbound 850 purchase order becomes a QuickBooks sales order, the 810 invoice goes back to the partner, and duplicate POs are detected and rejected with an alert.
Strengths
- EDI specialist with trading partner onboarding tools
- Self-service, managed service, or hybrid delivery
- QuickBooks Online and Desktop EDI integration (850 and 810)
- Duplicate PO detection with error alerting
Considerations
- No public price list (pricing page unavailable, checked October 2026)
- Narrower fit for estates that are mostly non-EDI applications
- Confirm which documents beyond 850 and 810 your QuickBooks flow needs
TrueCommerce
Built for you- Best for
- Managed EDI for QuickBooks sellers
- Pricing
- From $179/mo (SMB)*
TrueCommerce fits when the Boomi workload is mostly retail and distribution EDI and you would rather not run a platform at all. Its managed service includes trading partner onboarding and integration mapping as standard, and every package includes implementation and post go-live customer success.
Published packages start at $179 a month for 3 trading partner connections and 2 integrated documents, and $499 a month at Mid-Market, with a one-time setup fee and a 12-month subscription. Its QuickBooks integration covers Pro, Premier, Enterprise, and Online.
Strengths
- Onboarding and mapping included in the managed service
- Published entry pricing by package
- QuickBooks Desktop editions and Online covered
- Implementation and critical support in every package
Considerations
- Focused on EDI; confirm coverage for API management and non-EDI flows
- Package limits on trading partner connections and integrated documents
- Setup fee plus a 12-month subscription term
Tray.ai
Vendor help for hire- Best for
- Enterprise orchestration + AI automation
- Pricing
- Custom pricing*
- Reported
- Median $37,641/yr (Vendr, Sept 2026)
Tray.ai suits teams leaving Boomi for a cloud orchestration platform with AI-agent features rather than another hybrid estate. Its plans are usage-based and sold by tier.
Tray completes SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type 2 audits, sells paid launch co-development and solution architecture, and offers 24/7 support with enhanced SLAs on its Team and Enterprise plans.
Strengths
- Enterprise orchestration and integration
- Reusable components and governance
- Designed for larger automation programs
- AI and agent-oriented capabilities
Considerations
- Confirm on-premise and EDI coverage before moving Boomi processes
- Sales-led buying motion
- Enhanced SLAs come with the higher tiers
SnapLogic
Vendor help for hire- Best for
- App integration + data pipelines
- Pricing
- Sales-led
SnapLogic is worth evaluating when the integration program spans both application workflows and data pipelines. It is often compared with Boomi in enterprises that need operational integration and analytics-oriented data movement under one platform strategy.
It can be a stronger fit than a pure workflow tool when data engineering, ETL/ELT, and application integration need to coexist.
Strengths
- Application and data integration in one platform
- Pipeline-oriented design
- Suitable for enterprise data movement and analytics use cases
- Low-code integration approach
Considerations
- Pricing is generally sales-led
- May be unnecessary if your requirements are mainly app-to-app automation
- Teams still need internal ownership of architecture and operations
Azure Logic Apps
Your team builds- Best for
- Azure-centered integration + B2B/EDI
- Pricing
- From $0.000125/call*
Azure Logic Apps is the Microsoft option that matches Boomi's scope more closely than Power Automate. Workflows run multitenant, single-tenant, or on customer-managed infrastructure through its hybrid deployment model, and built-in EDI operations cover X12, EDIFACT, AS2, RosettaNet, and SWIFT.
Prices are published. Standard connectors cost $0.000125 per call, single-tenant hosting is $140.16 per vCPU per month, and B2B work needs an Integration Account from $0.42 an hour, whose Basic tier holds 2 trading partners and Standard holds 1,000.
Strengths
- Published, usage-based prices
- Built-in X12, EDIFACT, AS2, RosettaNet, and SWIFT operations
- Multitenant, single-tenant, and customer-managed hybrid runtimes
- Fits teams already running Azure
Considerations
- No QuickBooks connector found in Microsoft's documentation (checked October 2026)
- Integration Account tiers cap trading partners
- Your team owns the Azure resources, maps, and monitoring
Microsoft Power Automate
Your team builds- Best for
- Microsoft automation + RPA
- Pricing
- $15/user/mo*
Power Automate fits when Boomi is mostly connecting Microsoft systems: Dynamics, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure. Premium starts at $15 per user per month, and unattended RPA covers Windows applications with no API.
It is not a B2B/EDI platform in Boomi's sense, and unattended bots need registered Windows machines and a Process license at $150 per bot per month.
Strengths
- Deep Microsoft ecosystem fit
- Cloud flows plus desktop RPA
- Published entry pricing
- Premium and custom connectors
Considerations
- No native B2B/EDI trading-partner management
- Unattended RPA needs Process licenses and registered Windows machines
- Mixed, non-Microsoft estates may still need another integration layer
n8n
Your team builds- Best for
- Technical teams + self-hosting
- Pricing
- From $20/mo hosted*
n8n is at the opposite end of Boomi's market: a workflow tool engineers can self-host and extend in code, priced on executions, with a free Community Edition to self-host. It suits teams moving app-to-app automations off Boomi to cut license cost.
It does not cover what keeps many teams on Boomi: there is no B2B/EDI management, API management, or master-data layer, and n8n's partner program is still a closed pilot.
Strengths
- Cloud and self-hosted options
- Execution-based hosted pricing
- Unlimited workflow steps on current hosted plans
- Strong fit for technical teams and custom logic
Considerations
- No EDI trading-partner or API-management layer
- Self-hosting makes availability and patching your team's job
- Partner help is limited while the n8n Experts program is a closed pilot
Also Considered
- SAP Integration Suite: Fits SAP-centered estates. Editions are metered in messages, each 250 KB counting as one, and trading partner management and edge runtimes sit in Standard and Enhanced, not Starter (SAP pricing page, checked October 6, 2026).
- Orderful: API-first EDI for X12 and EDIFACT. Web EDI is $189 a month per trading partner, Integrated starts at $399 a month, and managed integration services come with Enterprise (Orderful pricing page, checked October 6, 2026).
- SPS Commerce: Full-service EDI network. A third party reports Fulfillment at $99 a month plus per-trading-partner setup fees (erpresearch.com, 2026); SPS's own pricing page was unavailable on October 6, 2026.

Boomi's Deployments page lists every actively deployed packaged component across all environments, with its packaged version, deployment date, and who deployed it. Export it per environment so the migration scope is what runs in production, not every component in the Build tab.
Step 2: Record Environment Extensions Before You Detach Anything
Extensions hold the per-environment values your processes run with: connection settings, trading partner settings, data maps, cross reference tables, and PGP certificates. Encrypted values must be re-entered when a runtime is added to an environment, so collect current credentials from their owners now.
Step 3: Archive Process Reporting History Before Deleting a Runtime
Process Reporting keeps logs for 30 days by default, and deleting an Atom, Molecule, or runtime cloud deletes its process execution history. Export the executions, errors, and document counts your auditors or finance team need before any runtime is uninstalled.
Step 4: Re-Create Trading Partner IDs and Retest With Each Partner
Boomi Trading Partner components store each partner's X12 interchange ID qualifier and ID (ISA05 to ISA08), GS application codes, and a communication method such as AS2, SFTP, FTP, HTTP, or OFTP2. Match every value on the new platform and exchange test documents with each partner before cutover.
Step 5: List the API Endpoints and Listeners Other Systems Call
A Boomi API Service component exposes REST, SOAP, or OData endpoints, and each endpoint has a linked Web Services Server listener process. List every URL that partners, apps, or webhooks call, so each caller is repointed and nothing keeps posting to a retired runtime.
Step 6: Find Custom Connectors and Master Data Hub Repositories
Connectors built with the Boomi Connector SDK carry custom code that has to be rebuilt elsewhere. If you use Master Data Hub, its repositories hold your models, source settings, and primary data in the Boomi Hub Cloud, so decide where that primary data will live next.
Step 7: Count Connector Classes and Messages, Then Time the Cutover
Boomi licenses connections by class (Small Business, Standard, Enterprise, Trading Partner), and Pay-As-You-Go bills every message at $0.05, monthly. Count both to compare quotes, and line the cutover up with your renewal date or PAYG month so you pay for two platforms only as long as planned.
Step 8: Run Boomi and the Replacement in Parallel
Rebuild one representative process first, then run both paths side by side and reconcile output, timing, and errors against Process Reporting. Plan around Boomi's release calendar: when a Runtime Release is applied automatically, all runtimes restart and can require downtime.
Step 9: Assign Ownership Before Boomi Is Switched Off
Decide who responds when a credential expires, an API changes, a trading partner's endpoint changes, or a record is rejected. Name who undeploys the last Boomi packaged components and uninstalls each Atom or Molecule once the parallel run signs off.
How Boomi Meters Usage
Boomi licenses connections by class and bills Pay-As-You-Go per document, so count both first.
| Meter | Examples in Boomi's documentation | How it is counted |
|---|---|---|
| QuickBooks and Sage 50/Peachtree | Connection licenses by class, deployed up to your subscription's count | |
| NetSuite, Salesforce, SFTP, and Disk; most connectors are Standard | Connection licenses by class, deployed up to your subscription's count | |
| SAP and Oracle E-Business | Connection licenses by class, deployed up to your subscription's count | |
| X12, HL7, and EDIFACT trading partner profiles | Connection licenses by class, deployed up to your subscription's count | |
| Any document through Integration, Flow, API Management, Data Hub, or EDI | $0.05 for each inbound and outbound document, regardless of format or transport, on top of $99/month |

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best Boomi alternative?
It depends on what you use Boomi for. Autymate fits companies that want managed custom integrations. Workato is strong for enterprise automation and orchestration. MuleSoft fits API-led architecture. Celigo is strong for NetSuite-centric programs. Jitterbit, Tray.ai, SnapLogic, Power Automate, and n8n serve different hybrid, data, Microsoft, and self-hosted requirements. For EDI-heavy programs, Cleo and TrueCommerce specialize in EDI, and Azure Logic Apps suits Azure estates.
Is Autymate a direct replacement for Boomi?
Not exactly. Boomi is a broad enterprise iPaaS platform that your team or partner configures and governs. Autymate is a managed integration model for organizations that want one team to design, build, validate, monitor, and maintain defined business-critical integrations.
How much does Boomi cost?
Boomi currently offers a 30-day free trial and a Pay-As-You-Go option starting at $99 per month plus usage. Boomi also offers other editions and enterprise arrangements, so the real cost depends on services, usage, environments, support, and the integration footprint. Vendr, which tracks software purchases, reports a median of about $45,000 a year for Boomi editions (February 2026 data). Boomi's documentation bills Pay-As-You-Go usage at $0.05 per message, counting each inbound and outbound document.
How many connectors does Boomi have?
Boomi currently states that it offers more than 1,000 prebuilt connectors across CRM, ERP, cloud storage, data platforms, messaging, and other categories. It also supports building custom connectors.
Does Boomi support QuickBooks Desktop?
Yes, with conditions. Boomi's QuickBooks connector documentation says the runtime must be 32-bit, must run in desktop mode rather than as a Windows service, and needs a Windows user signed in to the machine (checked September 2026). Autymate connects QuickBooks Desktop 2020 or newer through the Autymate Desktop App on the computer that runs QuickBooks, and builds and supports the integration for you.
Can Boomi connect on-premise systems?
Yes. Boomi supports hybrid deployment across cloud, on-premises, and edge environments. This is one reason it remains relevant for enterprises with legacy and mixed infrastructure.
Can I use Boomi and Autymate together?
Yes. A company can keep Boomi for enterprise-wide platform capabilities while using Autymate for specific managed integrations where accounting controls, multi-location rules, custom connectivity, or outsourced operational ownership are the priority.
What should I compare when choosing a Boomi alternative?
Compare the systems you need to connect, hybrid and on-prem requirements, B2B/EDI needs, API management, data transformation, governance, pricing model, monitoring, support, internal skills, and who owns failures and changes after launch.
Is there a simpler alternative to Boomi?
Possibly. If you only need cloud workflow automation, Power Automate, n8n, or another lighter tool may be easier to operate. If you want the integration delivered and maintained without building an internal iPaaS practice, a managed integration approach such as Autymate may be simpler operationally.
Is Boomi still owned by Dell?
No. Dell Technologies completed the sale of Boomi to Francisco Partners and TPG Capital on October 1, 2021, according to Dell's quarterly SEC filing. Many teams still say Dell Boomi, and older documentation uses that name. The product is now the Boomi Enterprise Platform, and since March 2025 Boomi calls Atoms basic runtimes and Molecules runtime clusters.
How does Boomi Pay-As-You-Go pricing work?
Boomi's pricing page lists Pay-As-You-Go at $99 per month plus usage, billed monthly. Its documentation bills usage at $0.05 per message, and every inbound and outbound document counts as a message. The plan includes Integration, API Management, Data Hub, Flow, and EDI with unlimited connections and trading partners, but only Standard support, which Boomi says cannot be upgraded (checked October 2026).
What is the best Boomi alternative for EDI?
It depends on how much EDI work you want to keep in-house. Cleo and TrueCommerce specialize in EDI and both list QuickBooks integrations, and TrueCommerce includes onboarding and mapping in its managed service. Azure Logic Apps includes EDI operations inside a broader Azure platform. Autymate is not an EDI platform; it can support scoped file, API, and accounting integrations around one, with EDI breadth confirmed per project.
Is Boomi SOC 2 compliant?
Yes. Boomi states that its Integration, Data Hub, B2B/EDI Management, and API Management services are SOC 1 and SOC 2 compliant, examined annually, with reports available through its compliance portal. Boomi also lists ISO/IEC 27001:2022, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS attestations (checked October 2026). Autymate completed a SOC 2 Type 2 audit in 2026, and the report is available on request at trust.autymate.com.
What do Boomi Atoms and Molecules mean for operations?
An Atom, now called a basic runtime, is the engine that runs Boomi processes, and a Molecule, now a runtime cluster, spreads that work across nodes. When they run locally, your team owns the servers and their upkeep. Boomi ships runtime and platform releases every other month, and runtimes restart when an update is applied automatically, which can require downtime.
